Technology Tip (8/13/12): Remind101Several people have passed this tip along and I know that several teachers at the middle school are using this site. It allows teachers to have students and parents sign up to receive messages via text or email from the teachers. The text messages do NOT come from your phone, which is a plus. It is a very easy service to sign up for and is FREE!
Click HERE for a link to the site. Technology Tip (1/17/12): DropboxDropbox makes it easy to securely share files with other people, sync them across multiple computers, access them from anywhere, and keep them safe.
Technology Tip (1/4/12): New Presentation IdeasTired of PowerPoint presentations? Do you want your students to create more interactive, multimedia presentations? You might want to try Glogster ED.
Tech Tip (11/28/11): Printer Issues
For those of you who get frustrated with the printers in the labs going off line, here is a tip to make things a bit easier. If you have your website set up on Weebly or Google Docs, then you can set up a submission form for your students. They can submit their assignments to you via email and then you can print them when you have access to a printer. This keeps you from having to keep up with flash drives or trying to get the students back into a lab to print. If you need help setting this up, let me know. ________________________________________________________________ Technology Tip (11/29/11): Teaching Channel How long has it been since you’ve had the opportunity to watch another teacher present a lesson? If you’re like most classroom teachers, it has probably been a long time.

This is a fun site that lets you create fake newspaper clippings, animated squirrels, ninja text, etc. This would be great to use on your teacher websites just for some humor and for students to use in creating presentations. Hope you have fun with it!
